We are a community of faith seeking to live out the radical good news of Jesus.
We open up our land, buildings and resources in the heart of town with the hope of creating a ‘meeting place’ for people of diverse backgrounds.
Despite some of the news headlines about our town we believe that everyone has a gift and that we are placed in the heart of Alice Springs to be:
In the name of Christ.
We meet on Sundays @ 9.30am.
Join us every Sunday for our weekly intergenerational 9:30am service.
There is a program for kids and our community and visitors gather together for morning tea afterwards.
Rev. Emily Hayes
The Alice Springs Uniting Church worships on the lands of the Arrernte people, the lands they call Mparntwe. Through this land God has nurtured and sustained them for some 50,000 years.
We are located in the heart of town in the John Flynn Memorial Church building. Grateful to those who went before us, we seek the Kingdom of God in this time and place.
We are a proudly intergenerational, multicultural and affirming church. We have Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples and languages sharing in ministry together. We are a safe church for all no matter their background or where they are in life or faith.
We value the deep stillness of the land in which we live. We allow the creation and the community of which we are a part to shape our discipleship.
Justice, sustainability, reconciliation, and equality are key expressions of the holistic faith we seek to nurture in each other, and in the wider community which we serve.
The Alice Springs Uniting Church is about bringing people together.

Greetings, friends, from Mparntwe/Alice Springs. It has been another tragic week for our town and there are again very negative things being said about our community. And so we wanted to live stream our service today. We wanted to invite you to pray with us for our community and the community of Yuendumu and the family of the young Warlpiri man killed this week. We wanted to share with you about a project that we have been working on for 3 years. It is about truth telling and healing and walking together, something our town really needs right now. Arrernte women share their experiences of the project about the importance of changing the narrative at the end of the live stream, so don't miss that part! Most of all we wanted to share with you that the spirit of God is alive here. Working within and amongst the many amazing people who live here and are committed to walking together for healing and hope, truth and justice. We love this town and its people. Thank you for watching and standing with us. ... See MoreSee Less
